Swimmers spend countless laps meticulously critiquing their technique. Runners spend hours on drills to improve their form. So why is it that cyclists never practice their pedal stroke? There’s a lot more to pedalling than just pumping your feet while sitting on a bike. Cadence, force curves, angles, angular momentum – they all play a part in improving the power of our pedalling.

One of the unique features of the Wattbike is the ability to monitor your cycling technique as you ride. This is shown as a force curve on the Wattbike Performance Computer known as the Polar View. The Polar View shows the force applied to the pedals and the position of the pedals when applying this force

One hour on a WattBike is the equivalent of over 2 hours riding in a bunch & get this – recovery time is halved, and your pedal efficiency is dramatically improved by a minimum of 25%.
