Bike Lab’s Professional Institute experts and coaches (some of them global) have years of experience with triathlon and sporting experience and they are passionate about you achieving your goals.

They work with clients of all ability levels and ages from recreational to elite athletes, sports/fitness cyclists, racing cyclist, tri-athletes, and beginners. Getting results requires motivation and accountability and a training log and nutrition journal is an ideal starting point.

We listen to what you want

  • Already know your goals: our coaches will talk to you about your goals and how we can fine tune your body and technique to improve your training, increase your level of fitness to enable you to hit peak performance, and put you in a better shape.
  • Don’t know your goals: they will help you determine realistic targets and objectives
    and design a program that suits your lifestyle.

But first, we need to determine your:

  • level of fitness, your physiology
  • your strengths and weaknesses
  • sporting background including your previous history in gyms
  • your current cycling or running technique so we can make adjustments
  • any injuries you might have
  • budget

Before we test you on a range of equipment to analyse your:

  • VO2 capacity – understand what it is and how it can, with training, help you better prepare yourself for competition
  • Resting Metabolic Rate – monitor the intensity of a workout
  • Exercise Metabolic Rate
  • Power and Lactate Threshold- improve performance during endurance events whether it’s running, cycling or swimming
  • Peak Power output and Power Delivery – for a mass start, hill climbing and a sprint finish
  • Pedal Efficiency – technique makes all the difference
  • DNA and Gene – determine your recovery abilities, fat loss and muscle gaining abilities.

  • Customise a detailed program that builds specific training zones to suit your unique physiology and your busy lifestyle
  • Structure a comfortable but challenging training zone

  • Track your progress by recording exercise on the computer, iPhone, Blackberry or other smart phone, or a compatible GPS, HR or power device to upload your file.

SUPPORT PACKAGE

Are you a novice athlete who needs some direction?

Every individual who is serious about training needs direction whether you’re an elite and experienced athlete or just starting out.

As a novice you need to work on your strength and stamina but it also means sticking to a schedule.

Our coaches can help and guide you in your development answering your questions and assisting with difficulties. More importantly they can monitor your progress and give you the edge over your competitors with their insights, knowledge and experience.

This package offers:

  • Monthly updates and reviews of your training program
  • A program that is based on specifically designed training zones
  • Access to a Training Peaks website where you can view your individual training program
  • Ability to upload your training data e.g. Heart rate via your personal devices onto the website
  • Email access to Bikelab coaching outside of normal training times.

$90 for the first month which includes a one hour meeting with our head coach to discuss training goals and objectives. Thereafter, the cost is $60 per month.

PREMIUM PACKAGE

The challenge is ahead and you need to reach peak performance for your Iron Man race or the national championships.
Your probably also time poor so the Premium Package is designed to get you into tip top shape within 8 to 12 weeks.
Our coaches will provide you with weekly feedback via the Training Peaks website so that you can excel and perform at your peak.

This package offers:

  • Weekly updates and review of your training program
  • Individually-tailored training program to suit your training goals, targets and objectives
  • Detailed workouts based on heart rate zones acquired through metabolic testing
  • Race planning and strategy
  • Access to training peaks website whereby you can view your training program
  • Ability to upload your training data (e.g heart rate) via your personal devices onto Training Peaks
  • Access to coaches outside normal training times
  • Opportunities to meet with head coach to discuss changes of program
$380 for the first month which include a one hour meeting with our head coach to discuss training goals and objectives. Thereafter, the cost is $350 per month.

PERFORMANCE PACKAGE

You’ve always dreamed about participating in a marathon, a triathlon or your first iron man. It’s daunting but you know it’s one of those challenges in your life you want to tick off.

This package offer:

  • Fortnightly updates and review of training program
  • Individually-tailored training program to suit your training goals and objectives
  • Detailed workouts based on heart rate zones taken off testing results
  • Race planning and strategy
  • Access to Training Peaks website to allow you to view your training program
  • Ability to upload your training data e.g your heart rate via your personal devices onto the website

$280 for the first month include one hour meeting with the head coach to discuss training goals and objectives. Thereafter the cost is $250 per month.
