Basic Fit Our basic fit is aimed towards the cyclist who wants to ride without discomfort or commute easily. A BikeLab fitter will look at you as you ride your bike and with the aid of video and computer imaging measure joint angles, distances, and the motion of your body at multiple positions. With the data acquired from the video, the fitter can change seat height, seat position, stem length and segment lengths (e.g. handlebars to saddle). The analysis will usually take around an hour and will not conclude until our technician is happy that he has identified the correct set up for you. Full Fit The full fit offers a higher degree of precision through the use of 2 camera video analysis to determine your correct riding position by measuring different joint angles crucial to enhancing power output. The use of video analysis software facilitates the detection of more subtle biomechanical flaws that may be difficult to detect with the naked eye and allows accurate quantitative measure to be taken while you are riding opposed to estimating from a stationary position. The Full Fit also includes detailed cleat analysis and positioning. Improper cleat positioning can cause pain in your toes, heel, ankles, knees, and hips, which is why it the right setup is absolute necessary to anyone riding for extended periods of time. Your feet are measured for metatarsal length, forefoot tilt, and leg length discrepancy, all of which need to me taken into account when properly positioning cycling cleats. The BikeLab fitter can use the measurements to change cleat angle, placement, and add wedges and/or risers to make sure your cleats are in just the right spot. After your fitting, the BikeLab fitter will provide you a detailed report including before and after pictures of you on your bike and an outline of changes made. You will also be provided with the initial and final measurements of your bike so you can take what you learn in from your fit and apply it to any bike you get in the future! Finally, all information gathered from your fitting appointment is stored so you can see it again if you ever decide you may want another fit!
